The Zen Life

Where in the USA will ZenPup explore next? We’re going right to the heart of the country with “the Windy City” - Chicago, Illinois.

Chicago is not only known as an international center for finance, culture, industry, and transportation, it also boasts an immaculate lakefront, a bounty of museums, and insanely good deep dish pizza… and some pretty crazy St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Sounds to us like the perfect playground for you and your pup to roam! Just don’t forget the ZenPup. New places can be stressful for your pup, but ZenPup’s broad-spectrum CBD will help to take the edge off. Now, let’s dive in to Chicago’s top dog-friendly venues, shall we?

Big Star Chicago

Tacos, whiskey, and honky tonk… and dogs. What more can one ask for? Check out both of their locations in Wrigleyville and Wicker Park, but make sure to plan ahead because everyone and their pup likes to enjoy a taco here… or their ZenPup Goodies *wink*.

White Sox Games

Huge baseball fan? Us too! If you root for the Sox like a loyal south-sider should, you should also know that the White Sox have dedicated two game days to the dogs. Buy some peanuts and cracker jacks, and don’t forget to bring some Goodies along, too!

Moxy Chicago Downtown

Are you and your pup not Chicago natives and need a place to stay? Moxy Chicago Downtown is surrounded by nightclubs, gastronomical decadence, and America’s largest concentration of art galleries. What’s even better is that each $15 pet deposit per stay is donated to the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society.

Montrose Dog Beach

It wouldn’t be a trip to Chicago without spending at least some time on the shores of Lake Michigan. You’re bound to find plenty of other pups there, so your fluffy pal will always be able to have an impromptu playdate in the sand. Take a dry shampoo bath after to get all of the sand off with ZenPup’s Clean.

Michigan Avenue

Or Magnificent Mile, as it has come to be known, is a long avenue of shops including everything from traditional Chicago newspaper stands to a luxurious Chanel store-front. Places like Nordstrom and Lush are known nationwide for allowing pups to peruse the shopping racks. If you’re in need of new shoes, it’s probably a good idea to bring your dog along and see if they are interested in chewing them up before you purchase… or get your paws on some Happy to decrease that nervous behavior from the get-go.

Whether it’s grabbing a taco or galavanting on the beach, we hope you and your pup find new places to explore in the beautifully diverse city of Chicago. Traveling can be stressful for your pup because it takes you both out of your routines and in unknown places. Reduce your pup’s stress and anxiety while increasing their joy and excitement for exploring with ZenPup’s CBD-infused products.

Please tag us in any photos of you and your pup exploring new dog-friendly places no matter what city you may be in!

Each month, we will be covering our top dog-friendly venues in a different city. If you live in a city or are visiting a new city, and you want us to do a little digging, DM us on Instagram
